Billerica's Annual Homecoming's theme is "Billerica Goes Green - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!" In keeping with the theme, the Homecoming is holding its 1st Annual Townwide Yardsale in an effort to raise funds for its Homecoming weekend in September as well as to support the town's new recycling program effective in 10/2007. For a $10 donation the address of the yard sale will be listed in the Billerica Minuteman, the Lowell Sun, the local access channel, and the Homecoming's website. For those who don't have an appropriate location, several locations around town will be made available at a cost of $25 for a table space (bring your own tables). Non profits (eg homeless shelters etc) are encouraged to participate for free and will be listed for people to bring appropriate items to help those in need.Other events are also being planned to encourage people to be out and about.Contact Joan at jparcewski@comcast.net or call 978-663-5201 on how you can participate.
